Active Recovery

I had a hard ride yesterday, so today is an active recovery day. This is a 40min Functional Range Conditioning (#FRC) routine aimed at improving joint space and joint control.

The repetitive nature of cycling can easily start to create muscle tightness and joint restriction, which can lead to muscle imbalance (especially when one leg tends to be the more dominant). This can eventually lead to injuries and pain in the knees, hips and lower back.

Our Cycle Clinic offers a full “Off Bike” Movement Screen package that identifies any structural imbalances that could be affecting your cycling comfort and performance and then based on the results, write you a periodised exercise program to help rectify the issues.
