Deficit Split Squat


The Deficit Split Squat is a knee-dominant uni-lateral exercise, that is great in improving hip stability and single-leg strength by developing the quadriceps and glutes.


This is a great exercise for cyclists as it can help even out muscle imbalances between the left and right leg. This can occur when one leg is more dominant in the pedal stroke than the other affecting your pedaling efficiency.


The front foot being raised will also increase the challenge on hip mobility and frontal plane stability.
